Catching up!!

Now let me begin by saying I *may* have posted these here before, so pardon me if I did, I am not trying to smother you with my work! I looked back a few months and couldn't see any of them, but as usual I act hasty when I am on dial up! I usually try to post my Buzz and Bloom projects a couple of months after they are posted on the Buzz and Bloom blog. So here are a few that I have done the past few months in their full size, not just a snippet.

Have a great day! **Kerilou**

Turkey!!

Well, you were warned! Here is Peter's first contribution towards controlling our local turkey population, which is HUGE, by the way! This was from Saturday morning, things have been so busy that I couldn't share it until now. This is considered a Jake, not a Tom. Jakes are younger male turkeys, their beards are a bit shorter, and their tail feathers are not all the same length-the ones in the center section are longer than the ones on the outsides edges of the fan. You are allowed two males turkeys in the spring, at least in our county/state. They can be jakes or toms. No females in the spring, though. They are sitting on nests and rearing the baby turkeys. And you can only hunt turkeys until noon. Any time after 12 noon is off limits til sunrise the next morning. This is when all the turkeys go home and watch "The Young and the Restless". So there is your wildlife lesson for today! Have a happy Monday!

In Loving Memory

It has been one year since we lost our beloved cousin. He was a cherished father, husband, son, grandson, brother, cousin, nephew, busdriver, fireman, and mechanic.

Our life is not the same without you in it.

You are greatly missed and always loved...

Another try!

I am having fun working with the Photoshop elements. I put the iPod on, and just get down to it. I fool, undo, redo, adjust, etc. It's kind of relaxing! I probably only know about half a percent of the total there is to know about PSE 6, but I am plugging along. This is one I did last night, of my new nephew Zeb, and my grandmother. She lives in a nursing home, adjoining the hospital that Zeb was born in. The day after he was born, my Mom and I walked over to the home and wheeled Grandma Omi back over to the hospital to meet her newest great grandson. He was kind of fussy, but as soon as she took him, he calmed right down and looked up at her. She pulled him close and buried her head in his little neck, and thankfully I got a photo! We were all pretty choked up! He was named Zebulon Russell, the Russell for Omi's late husband, my Grandfather. Omi can't talk due to her stroke, only yes's, no's, and oh's for the most part. When we went and picked her up at the nursing home, I got down on my knees in front of her and told her why we were there, and told her what my brother and sister in law had named the baby. Grandma was overjoyed-even though she couldn't express her feelings verbally, I knew exactly what she was saying! It was a great day!
Happy Tuesday evening!

A big fish story!

Well, since Cody got his new reel, he is CONVINCED that he is now the world's best fishermen. In all actuality, he has done really awesome so far this spring! Yesterday they took the canoe back up the river, and Cody came home with this 13 inch trout! And he did it all on his own! No help from Dad at all! It is so exciting to see him so proud and excited. Stay tuned for more wildlife. No turkeys so far!
Have a great Monday!
